Record from my flat - Song Thrush

Robins have been singing again for some time following the completion of the breeding season and summer moult. In my experience, it is the first species to resume singing in the autumn and early winter.

Today, I heard and saw my first singing Song Thrush for several months. At some point during the night, I was vaguely aware of a singing male but from 8:40 a.m., I clearly heard presumably the same bird. I quickly located it in a tree just beyond the beyond the boundary of the block of flats where I live. Unfortunately, the poor light but particularly the fact that the bird was partially obscured meant that I was unable to get any photos.
