Records from my flat - Green Woodpecker and Chiffchaff

My early morning alarm today at 6:15 a.m. was a loudly calling Green Woodpecker. This is a species that I occasionally hear and see from my flat but especially during the spring. I have heard and seen Green Woodpeckers regularly on my St. Nicholas Church local patch site for several weeks now.

As I left home at 8:10 a.m., I heard a singing male Chiffchaff, my first of the year from my flat although I have both heard and seen this species on my St. Nicholas Church local patch site since 8th March 2025.
