Yesterday, I visited the "Animals: Art, Science and Sound" exhibition at the British Library in London.
This exhibition was one of the most interesting that I have visited in recent years.
As the exhibition programme says ....
"Animals have always fascinated and inspired us.
In our pursuit to understand animal life, we have observed and recorded creatures in the wild for thousands of years using them to populate our visual, textual and sonic worlds.
Continuing to learn about animals through this work can help us protect animal species from threats such as climate change and habitat loss.
Take a journey in to the Library's rich collections and explore how we have documented animals through art, science and sound"
The exhibition was divided into 4 equally fascinating and informative sections: Darkness, Water, Land and Air.
A review appears here .... The Guardian - Animals review .... a carnival of curious fish and fantastic beasts
#DefendNature .... Please help save and enhance our laws that protect our environment and wildlife
