I posted here and here regarding the appalling crime of a Red Kite shot in Essex recently.
Whilst there is no news on identifying or convicting the offenders (regretfully there rarely is), at least the Red Kite has been successfully rehabilitated by the South Essex Wildlife Hospital and released back in to the wild.
This red kite has survived with the assistance of @SEWH, treated, cared for and released back into the wild. 😃 https://t.co/ppSsy7swR5@EP_RURAL @RSPBNews @EssexBirdNews @EPChelmsford https://t.co/0T98XAbf2C

A red kite that had been brought to our hospital having been illegally shot was finally released this week after several weeks of intensive care and rehabilitation. It was a privilege to help such a beautiful bird and we were very pleased to see it enjoying its freedom again. pic.twitter.com/ucisHUYuIi
