I often hear Green Woodpeckers calling from my flat, particularly in spring when males are establishing and defending breeding territories.
However, this morning I saw 2 Green Woodpeckers flying past my window at 6:55 a.m., the bright early morning sunshine lighting up their colourful plumage.
