To buy himself a few more months of political survival, Prime Minister Rishi Sunak, representing a political party that has received and continues to receive huge donations from fossil fuel companies, major polluters and climate deniers, is threatening the very existence of humanity on our planet.
The Conservative Party recently narrowly held the seat of Uxbridge and South Ruislip in a recent by-election due to a widely held view that there was a backlash against the Mayor of London's ULEZ policy.
Despite the fact that ULEZ is an issue around improving air quality and public health and not the climate emergency, Sunak has now switched from doing absolutely nothing to tackle the climate emergency to actively undermining and sabotaging both the policies and programmes he inherited and the progressive and pro-active efforts of other public bodies, conservation organisations and charities.
