After listening to George Monbiot speak at the Cambridge Literary Festival, I was travelling home by train.
In the middle of nowhere, but somewhere between Cambridge and Dullingham, I saw a Short-eared Owl hunting over a rough grassland area.
I often see wildlife when travelling by train but a Short-eared Owl has got to be one of my best "ticks"!
