General Election result

Of the 650 MPs in the newly elected Parliament, over 500 (77%) are from the progressive and internationalist centre-left (every party except the appalling Conservative Party and the even worse Reform UK Party). This is a massive and unprecedented majority.

The disgusting clowns with all their self-serving right-wing ideology, incompetence, chaos, sleaze, cronyism, corruption, criminality, culture wars and so much more (the outgoing Conservatives) are left with a mere 121 MPs. Oh, I forgot number 10 partying while the country obeyed the Government’s own rules and while family members relatives died alone. There is deep joy at the fully deserved political punishment kicking that these people have finally received! The people's long-awaited revenge has occurred!

The ragbag of "little Englanders" at best and racists, homophobes, misogynists and climate change deniers at worst (the irrelevant Reform) have achieved just 5 seats despite all their bluster and boasting.

There is a real opportunity over the next 5 years, and hopefully beyond, to deliver significant improvements to UK society and the UK economy and to support and work in partnership with the global community.

Don't waste the opportunity!

There is a real opportunity over the next 5 years, and hopefully beyond, to take meaningful action to mitigate and tackle the climate emergency and biodiversity crisis threatening the very existence of our planet. As Caroline Lucas, the outgoing Green MP, simply put it .... "The gap between what’s scientifically and ethically essential, and what’s currently deemed to be politically possible, needs to close."

Don't waste the opportunity!

Seize the opportunities that have at long last opened up.
