Record from my flat - Reed Warbler

On 19th April 2025, I heard a singing male Garden Warbler in the hedges/trees adjacent to the track from my flat down to Upper Mayne (see here). This was my first record in this area and totally unexpected. It was evidently a spring migrant bird passing through since I have not heard or seen it since.

This morning, I had an even more surprising record in this area given the unsuitable habitat: Reed Warbler. It was a weakly singing male and I can only assume that, again, it was a migrant bird passing through. When I returned the same way about 2 hours later, I could no longer hear it.
