Third Common Buzzard found shot in Essex this year

The appalling illegal persecution and killing of our beautiful birds of prey is not restricted to the grouse moors of northern England and north east Scotland, albeit in these areas it frequently involves some of our rarest species such as Hen Harrier, Goshawk and Golden and White-tailed Eagles amongst many other species of birds and mammals.

Essex Police are investigating the third Common Buzzard found shot in Essex this year, this time just a few miles from my home on farmland in Billericay.

Wildlife crime is totally out of control in a country that claims to love its wildlife.

What sort of mindless and callous idiot would want to kill such a beautiful bird?
