A statement from the RSPB ....
“Nature loss is one of the greatest challenges facing life on earth. Together, we’ve started fighting back. Now we need the people in power to stand up and act too. It’s urgent.
We can’t waste time. Worldwide, up to one million species face extinction. In the UK alone, many birds are in decline, many pollinator species are facing extinction, and more than a quarter of our mammals are at risk of disappearing completely. That means less buzzing, less singing, less colour.Between 7 and 19 December, the world will gather for the global biodiversity conference, COP15. It’s a chance to stop extinctions and to save life on earth. We need Rishi Sunak to lead the conversation and drive ambitious action. Let’s have an urgent conversation – sign our petition and help make sure he listens and acts, before it’s too late.”
