After seeing 2 Common Buzzards from my flat yesterday, the first sighting since 28th April 2022, I had a further sighting this morning.
Again, I was alerted to the distinctive call at around 11 a.m. and I then located 3 Common Buzzards soaring together and occasionally interacting. Compared to yesterday, the views were more distant and not as prolonged and the birds quickly drifted off to the north west.
I had my first Common Buzzard record from my flat for the year (a single bird) on 7th March 2022.
This has been followed by further sightings on ....
10th March 2022 (2 birds)
14th March 2022 (2 birds)
15th March 2022 (3 birds)
18th March 2022 (2 birds)
27th March 2022 (a single bird)
3rd April 2022 (a single bird)
12th April 2022 (a single bird)
16th April 2022 (2 birds)
28th April 2022 (2 birds)
18th June 2022 (2 birds)
Total 2022 records to date …. 12 dates involving 22 birds.
During 2021, I saw Common Buzzard from my flat on 11 dates with those records involving 13 birds.
