Lockdown awakened our interest in nature but it mustn't be at the expense of wildlife

An extremely interesting but also worrying article from Isabella Tree ....

Lockdown awakened our interest in nature but it mustn't be at the expense of wildlife

Isabella Tree is the author of "Wilding", an amazing account of the quite brilliant work that she and her husband, Charlie Burrell, have undertaken to re-wild their land on the Knepp estate in West Sussex. I met her at a book signing session following an inspirational talk at Birdfair in 2019.

"The remarkable story of an astounding transformation." - George Monbiot

"A poignant, practical and moving story of how to fix our broken land, this should be conservation’s salvation; this should be its future; this is a new hope." - Chris Packham

I had planned to visit or possibly stay (camp) at the the Knepp estate in spring last year but obviously the travel restrictions imposed due to the Covid-19 pandemic prevented that as it did all my other planned trips.
