After the beautiful sound of the "night singers" (see here), tonight's sound of nature was somewhat less melodic!
At 10 p.m., I heard an extremely loud yelping and screaming Red Fox which was evidently very close to the flats but out of sight. The vocalisation continued for some minutes but unfortunately it did not appear outside or around the flats.
