At 12:20 p.m., I was able to watch yet another Common Buzzard from my flat window as it soared over the wooded area leading up to St. Nicholas Church. In addition, I thought I heard one calling briefly yesterday.
In 2020, I recorded Common Buzzard from my flat on 12 occasions during the summer months and in to September. This year, to date, I have already recorded it on 6 dates: 21st and 22nd March 2021, 27th April 2021, 17th May 2021, 2nd July 2021 and again today.
I am sure that Common Buzzards must be appearing regularly over the immediate area around my flat and that I must be missing many of them by not sitting by my window for hours every day!
