At 10:10 a.m., I was alerted to the distinctive call of a Common Buzzard although despite scanning from my window, I failed to locate the bird.
Eventually, I then saw a Common Buzzard soaring very
distantly and very high up. It quickly drifted off and was lost to view.
I had my first Common Buzzard record from my flat for
the year (a single bird) on 7th March 2022.
This has been followed by further sightings on ....
10th March 2022 (2 birds)
14th March 2022 (2 birds)
15th March 2022 (3 birds)
18th March 2022 (2 birds)
27th March 2022 (a single bird)
3rd April 2022 (a single bird)
12th April 2022 (a single bird)
16th April 2022 (2 birds)
28th April 2022 (2 birds)
18th June 2022 (2 birds)
19th June 2022 (3 birds)
20th June 2022 (a single bird)
Total 2022 records to date …. 14 dates involving 24 birds.
During 2021, I saw Common Buzzard from my flat on 11 dates with those
