The heatwave on Monday and Tuesday brought wildfires to many areas of the UK and we can expect to see more of these on the scale of those in other parts of Europe, North America, Australia and elsewhere as the climate emergency worsens due to the complete failure of governments to take the actions required.
Wild Ken Hill is a wonderful and inspiring example of regenerative farming and rewilding in north west Norfolk. It was again the home of BBC2 - Springwatch just a few weeks ago and it is adjacent to the Snettisham Coastal Park which I visited on 15th June 2022 .... see here.
This was the scene at Wild Ken Hill yesterday, a site that is making its small but hugely worthwhile contribution to addressing the climate emergency and biodiversity crisis ....
Unfortunately we have a bad fire in the coastal park at Wild Ken Hill. Too early to say how bad the damage is, but certainly much wildlife lost. Climate change is here and we need a massive acceleration in our efforts against it. pic.twitter.com/7folvCzYPF

The planet is literally on fire!
When are Governments, businesses and corporations and all of us as individuals going to heed the warnings and the evidence in front of eyes and take the substantial step-change actions required to ensure the survival of humanity and all the wonderful biodiversity that we share our planet with?
