"Trees for Tom"

Few (if any) people will not have heard of the amazing and remarkable Captain Sir Tom Moore who sadly died in early February 2021 …. see here.

Shortly after his death, the Woodland Trust (of which I am a member and long-term supporter) was approached by Lucy Teixeira, one of Captain Sir Tom Moore's daughters, as to whether they would be the UK recipient of donations for a project that she wanted to set up in memory of her father.

"Trees for Tom" has now been established as collaboration between the Woodland Trust and Tree Sisters and together they aim to fundraise to plant trees both locally in the UK and in 8 other countries around the world.

Lucy Teixeira is fundraising for the Woodland Trust

Trees are essential for people, nature and wildlife and the environment.

Creating new woodland is one of the best ways that we can begin to tackle the climate emergency and the biodiversity crisis …. see here.
