I heard my first singing male Chiffchaff of the year from my flat yesterday morning yesterday morning.
This has now been swiftly followed by hearing my first singing male Blackcap from my flat at 11 a.m. this morning.
Since these species are now back in some abundance at my local patch sites, I am expecting to hear both of them more frequently as the spring and early summer progresses.
