Over the years, I have heard several Green Woodpeckers and seen them on a few occasions. In July 2016, I managed to photograph an adult and a juvenile at the rear of our flats (see below).

Today, I heard a Green Woodpecker call
very loudly at 9:00 a.m. Over the next few minutes it continued to call and then
I eventually saw it clinging to the trunk of the small tree just outside one of
the ground floor flats. Unfortunately, from my position and its location, I was
unable to get a photo.
I also heard a male Blackcap singing briefly
at 7:45 a.m. and 8:20 a.m.
I recorded the following species today (heard only records in
italics):
Blackcap
Blue Tit
Blackbird
Green
Woodpecker
Woodpigeon
Collared Dove
Magpie
Carrion
Crow
Herring
Gull
Lesser
Black-backed Gull
