From my lockdown window – 9th June 2020

There was another relatively short species list today but at least there were a couple of notable records.

I heard a Great Spotted Woodpecker calling at 5 a.m. just before leaving for my walk up to St. Nicholas Church and I heard it, or another, after my return at 10:00 a.m. I also heard a male Blackcap singing a few times between 10:05 a.m. and 10:15 a.m.

I recorded the following species today (heard only records in italics):

Blackcap
Blue Tit
Blackbird
Dunnock
Wren
Great Spotted Woodpecker
Woodpigeon
Collared Dove
Magpie
Carrion Crow
Lesser Black-backed Gull
