Just 80,000 people voted for Liz Truss as the new Prime Minister .... SS15 wildlife watching: We have a new Prime Minister
Apart from the general incompetence, right-wing intolerance and bigotry, corruption and criminality, these people and their supporters offer nothing to address the climate emergency and biodiversity crisis other than greenwash platitudes.
All that was before what has occurred just in the last few days .... SS15 wildlife watching: Stop the attack on nature!
75% of UK voters, including a staggering 71% of those who backed the Conservative Party at the last General Election, believe the Prime Minister, Liz Truss, and the Chancellor, Kwasi Kwarteng, have “lost control” of the economy.
81% of people believe that nature is under threat and that more needs to be done urgently to protect and restore it. 48% of people are willing to take action themselves to reverse the damage.
We need a General Election now and the implementation of progressive and internationalist policies to address the acute needs of our nation and our world.
A petition demanding a General Election has been signed by 5 times as many people as voted for Liz Truss to become Prime Minister. Needless to say, this will be completely ignored because we do not live in a real democracy.
